Well, it will not be 365, or even 360, but revitalizing my Junk Drawer blog means doing the same for my image blog.

Cool new library

I met a really cool group of Media Specialists today in Orange Township NJ.
This picture was taken in a brand new library that has a great area for instruction with a Smart board and these need "stadium" like benches (we met the contractor on our way out.. you DO NOT want to know how much those benches cost!!) I had a great day with these folks. Meeting educators who are passionate about what they do is THE BEST part of my job!!!

Spa day for Erin

Erin loves to get her hair done.... so today, as a special treat I took her for a "Back to School" wash, cut, and blow dry.... It was a great Mommy/daughter time!

A good nights work...

I pull out the sewing machine once or twice a year... usually for a special project and almost always under the gun. I made this shirt last night for my son to wear at the Renaissance Festival this weekend. It is far from perfect, but it didn't turn out half bad...

Sean Flys Solo!!

My son Sean has been helping his father and I make lasagna for a year or so now... He was totally craving it this weekend and begged me to get the ingredients. I told him that I did not have time to make it so today, while I was running errands, he made it himself....

He called about 5 times to ask questions... but got it done. It looked, and tasted yummy!

The spices cabinet however, did not fare so well... this is what happens when a 14 year old can't find the oregano...

Triumphant Return!!!

After a year and a half... I have decided that I miss my 365... Going to try to do it again... John, Kids and I took a road trip today to IKEA... it was a long day so we stopped for dinner at The Chatterbox. The Chatterbox is a true carhop place in Sussex Co. NJ. The last time Erin ate here, she was 3... I took a picture of her that day with this Hot Dog Man... she has grown a bit since.

OK... last pic from Hershey... I promise. Who can resist this sweet treat? Chocolate AND beer? Before you ask... those are NOT all my empty bottles... I had help!

Happy Valentines Day... Hershey Style!

How could I spend the week at Hershey and NOT bring back kisses for my kiddos? I held back and gifted them today... valentines day! The white packets are "Goodnight Kisses" cocoa. This is the cocoa that they gave out on the hospitality tables at the conference (NO I did not steal these... I bought them $5 for a box of four packets... hugely overexpensive... but a nice treat) At the conference, they put it out on the table with a big bowl of whipped cream. Need I tell you that I WAY overindulged?
The bag in the background is gifts for the hubby... no candy for him. He is trying to loose weight. Kinda defeated the effort by going out to an Italian Restaurant for dinner. We ate WELL! Delish Bruchetta; crusty bread; unbelievable salad with peacans on top; shared two entrees.... he and Sole rolled around julienne veggies; I had chicken breasts topped with lumped crab meat. For dessert... he had tiramisu... I had pumpkin cheescake.. We never made it to the movie... but dinner was excellent!

Scat the Cat

Scat is one of our "kittens" that live on our property. He was part of the first litter, born on April Fools day last year. Even though these are "outdoor" cats, my daugher plays with them almost every day. They love to be handled. Makes me wish that I could allow her to bring them in... but I am allergic. Scat is a big, beautiful boy who purrs like a madman when you cuddle him...

Recycle... Makes for Great Souveniers!

My kids have become quite used to "souveniers" from my conferences. They get really excited about pens, highlighters, and other gadgets that I bring home... This week there was a great bonus! Shiny balloons!
