Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The anniversary of the birth of a great activist. With all of the news coverage of President Elect Obama's inauguration tomorrow... MLK Day has gotten a little lost. There was only a little "chatter" in my PLN about how to celebrate the day with the students. I am a little distressed by this. I would think that the irony of MLK Day being celebrated the DAY BEFORE the inauguration of our country's first African American president would be a bigger deal.
